ADJUSTMENTS AND REPAIRS

Adjustments will be necessary when you receive your hearing aids. Completed using an electro-acoustic analyzer, these adjustments help us to make sure that your hearing devices are working properly and that they perform optimally in all circumstances. We will take the time to explain how to manipulate your hearing aids, how to take care of them and how to change the batteries.

We offer hearing aid maintenance and repair services for all brands and models on the market, even if you purchased your device from another audioprosthetist. If your condition allows, we can also provide you with temporary devices while you wait for yours to be repaired. Contact us if your hearing aid is defective or requires maintenance.

Using cotton swabs to clean your ears is not recommended. Rather than removing wax from your ear canal, they push it deeper. Using cotton swabs can lead to abrasion, dryness and itching in your ears. Instead, use a washcloth and get into the habit of putting three drops of heavy mineral oil into your ear canal once per week.

To fully enjoy music, it is best to listen at a reasonable volume. Your ears’ sensitivity to sound variations is at its best when the volume is low and, conversely, it worsens when the sound level increases.
